AI Readiness Diagnostic

Is your organization ready to apply AI to a real operational problem?

Trust Score is a structured executive assessment that separates genuine readiness from momentum. It evaluates six dimensions of operational maturity and returns a deterministic score, a readiness level, and a recommended next move.

What is evaluated

Six dimensions that determine whether AI produces value or exposure

01

Use Case Clarity

Whether AI is being applied to a real operational task, workflow gap, efficiency opportunity, or risk mitigation need.

02

Operational Fit

Whether AI fits the organization's existing workflows, ownership model, decision points, and operational capacity.

03

Data Readiness

Whether data quality, access, structure, governance, and infrastructure support responsible AI use.

04

Governance and Risk Controls

Whether oversight, accountability, risk review, approval, human review, and controls exist.

05

Trustworthiness of Outputs

Whether outputs can be validated, explained, monitored, and trusted inside real workflows.

06

Change Management and Adoption

Whether leaders, teams, and users are prepared to adopt AI responsibly in the real work environment.

Readiness levels

One of four positions, applied consistently

0–49

Not Ready

A score in this range means the foundations required to deploy AI safely are not in place. Use case definition, data, ownership, or oversight are weak enough that an initiative launched now would be difficult to evaluate, defend, or unwind. This is a caution result, not a starting gun.

Stop initiative work and rebuild the foundation before committing budget.

50–69

Emerging Readiness

Real foundations exist, but material gaps remain. There is enough structure to attempt something narrow and heavily controlled, and not enough to survive production scope or an incident.

Close the two weakest dimensions first, then consider a narrow controlled pilot.

70–86

Operationally Ready

Clarity, data foundation, ownership, and oversight are sufficient to responsibly pilot or expand a defined AI initiative with human review in place.

Move forward with measurement, human review, and active risk monitoring.

87–100

Strategically Ready

Readiness is strong and consistent across strategy, operations, data, governance, output trust, and adoption.

Scale responsibly across aligned workflows while continuously monitoring value and risk.

The score is calculated, not generated

Every answer maps to a defined maturity value that contributes to its dimension. The Trust Score, dimension scores, strategic impulse assessment, and recommended next move are produced by a deterministic engine. An AI interpretation layer will later add executive commentary on those results — it will never change them.

Advisory

Most readiness gaps are decisions, not tools

After the diagnostic, I sit down with leaders one on one to pressure-test the use case, sequence the gaps, and agree what evidence the approver needs before budget moves.
